An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join our clients Apprenticeship Sales Team. This role is predominantly field based and will cover Merseyside, Cheshire and Greater Manchester. The Role Identify and engage with both SMEs and Levy companies at a senior level for the generation of Learner starts • Generate own leads via field sales, cold calling, networking and presentations to secure new employer accounts and promote our client as the Training Provider of choice. • Give advice and support to employers regarding the Apprenticeship Levy. • Undertake Organisational Needs Analysis and design / develop training plans to meet employers needs. • Manage and maximise employer relationships to secure new/repeat business ongoing • Work to monthly targets based on learner starts. • Keep up to date with competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, evaluating the market and scoping out new opportunities. • Report sales data and forecasts on a regular basis and meet month end sales deadlines. • Ensure employer environments comply with Health and Safety requirements. Essential Criteria • Must have proven experience of working within a field based Business Development role – ideally for promotion of Apprenticeships • Proven track record of achieving targets for learner starts. • Must have sound knowledge of the Levy. • Proven experience of developing relationships, influencing and negotiating with employers to secure new business. • Excellent communication, presentation, written and verbal skills. • Time management and organisational skills. • Driving licence and use of a vehicle – must be flexible with travel across the North West In return our client will offer a generous starting salary, bonus scheme and mileage of 35p per mile
