Coyne Recruitment is excited to be working on behalf of a leading employability provider delivering the Re-Start Scheme. We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Employment Advisors to join their dynamic team. This role is instrumental in helping unemployed individuals access the guidance, training, and support they need to re-enter employment, education, or training.

As an Employment Advisor, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored guidance and training services to unemployed individuals. While we are seeking applicants with relevant experience, we are also keen to speak to individuals with transferable skills who are passionate about making a difference.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Collaborate as part of a team to deliver advice, guidance, and training interventions tailored to the needs of unemployed individuals.

Liaise with external agencies such as Job Centre Plus, local referral partners, colleges, and employers to support customers’ progression into employment, training, or education.

Conduct one-to-one and group sessions, including initial assessments, inductions, and job search support.

Identify individual learning needs and create personalised plans to address barriers to employment.

Ensure customers have up-to-date CVs and provide support in planning their next steps.

Prepare and develop resources to facilitate group sessions that enhance employability.

Maintain regular interaction with customers through various communication channels, including face-to-face meetings, telephone, email, and text.

Support customers in accessing technology, such as computers, to aid in their job search.

Record and manage data securely, ensuring accurate documentation of customer interactions and training sessions.

Monitor and report any safeguarding concerns related to individuals in line with organisational policies.

Work to key performance indicators, meeting challenging targets in a high-performance environment.

Utilise strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to effectively support customer progression and overcome challenges.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Essential Experience: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or the welfare-to-work industry is desirable, but we welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills.
  • Key Skills: Ability to work under pressure, strong IT skills, self-motivation, excellent time management, and a flexible approach to work.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with the local labour market, welfare-to-work sector, and available training and employment opportunities.
