Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-scoring bid content in line with tender evaluation guidance and scoring matrices, clearly articulating the benefits of our client’s solution to meet specific commissioner needs.
- Adapt and refresh existing content within the bid library to improve bid quality.
- Actively seek out high-quality input from internal colleagues and stakeholders to improve submissions.
- Coordinate contributions from internal teams, including subject matter experts and operational leads, to ensure bids are well-informed, accurate, and compelling.
- Work closely with the Bid Manager and Solution Manager to support bid management activity, internal meetings, and the development of solution strategies and win themes.
- Actively seek feedback on both successful and unsuccessful submissions to continuously improve quality.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and competitor activity to ensure responses remain competitive and aligned with market needs.
- Support with the delivery of presentations and attend face-to-face client meetings when required.
- Represent our client at networking and forum events to help generate new business opportunities.
Person Specification
Education, Training and Qualifications:
- A university degree is essential.
- Membership of the Association of Bid and Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) is desirable.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
- Proactive in developing and managing networks of subject matter experts.
- Capable of identifying and adapting pre-written content where relevant.
- Strong written English language skills and excellent time management.
- Able to communicate and influence effectively at a senior level.
Experience:
- Proven track record of working on complex bids within tight deadlines.
- Project management experience.
- Experience working with matrixed teams across sales, implementation, and operations.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools, SharePoint, and other bid-related software.
- Experience in bid writing within the employability, skills, justice or health and wellbeing sectors is desirable.
Experience in developing and writing Social Value bid responses is also desirable
This is a remote working role, with occasional travel to Sheffield or Manchester for team meetings.
