Bid Writer

I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Bid Writer on behalf of a dynamic and fast-growing organisation. This is a fantastic full-time, fully remote role, offering you the chance to work closely with the senior leadership team and make a real impact on the company’s ongoing expansion.

They are looking for someone exceptional to help them continue their upward trajectory. If you have experience in bid writing across sectors like Education, Skills, Welfare to Work, Prisons, or Social Services, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Bid Writer, you will collaborate with the senior management team, delivery staff, and both internal and external stakeholders to create compelling bid responses. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the company continues to secure new opportunities by delivering high-quality, well-crafted submissions that meet commissioner specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify bid opportunities with key commissioners such as DfE, DWP, MOJ, Welsh Government, Local Authorities, and others.
  • Write, review, and edit bid material to ensure it aligns with commissioner specifications, scoring criteria, and the organisation’s delivery models.
  • Work closely with the CEO, senior management team, and operational staff to coordinate and refine bid content.
  • Develop creative and operationally viable solutions that reflect best practices and deliver value for money.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure all tender requirements are understood and met.
  • Develop partnerships with larger organisations where subcontracting opportunities may arise.
  • Manage all bid documentation in line with company policies and standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in bid writing within sectors like Education & Skills, Welfare to Work, Prisons, or Social Services. Desirable!
  • A track record of success in writing and winning bids.
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Financial profiling and budget management skills.
  • Innovative and research-oriented, with the ability to find and craft the best solutions.
  • Strong time management skills, capable of juggling multiple deadlines.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Bid Writer to step into a role with real responsibility and influence. If you’re passionate about writing winning bids and want to work with a team that’s making a difference, this is the role for you!
