Are you a strategic sales leader ready to take on a pivotal role in driving business success? We are seeking a Head of Client Engagement to lead a dynamic team, meet ambitious targets, and shape the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:
    • Own the employer engagement strategy, collaborating with key stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement annual business plans aligned with organizational priorities.
    • Share ideas and collaborate across the organization to maximize business opportunities.
  1. Operational Management:
    • Ensure compliance with funding rules and internal policies.
    • Set and monitor sales targets aligned with budgets.
    • Lead a proactive approach to quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
  1. Team Leadership:
    • Drive staff engagement, retention, and well-being strategies.
    • Implement annual training programs for the team.
    • Deliver impactful annual performance reviews and monthly one-to-ones.
  1. Stakeholder Management:
    • Develop effective relationships with referral organizations, key account clients, and partners.
    • Proactively manage internal business relationships across the organization.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:


  • Experience in SLT-level sales management within the apprenticeship and skills sector.
  • Proven track record of winning business, motivating teams, and achieving sales targets.
  • Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Leadership/management qualification at level 3 or above.
  • Basic knowledge of ESA (DfE) funding rules.
  • Ability to excel in high-pressure situations.


  • Successful bids, tenders, and effective contract management experience.
  • IAG qualification and project management skills.
  • Expert Microsoft user with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience of Ofsted inspections and understanding of the EIF.
  • Level 5 qualification in leadership and management.
