We are seeking a passionate and qualified Health and Social Care Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching and support to learners pursuing qualifications in Health and Social Care. The ideal candidate will have experience in both teaching and the health and social care industry, with a commitment to helping learners achieve their full potential. This role involves delivering engaging lessons, assessing learner progress, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Delivery: Deliver a range of Health and Social Care qualifications, ensuring learners are engaged and progressing.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Assess learner work, provide constructive feedback, and support learners in meeting their qualification standards.
  • Lesson Preparation: Create and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning materials tailored to the needs of learners.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure delivery meets OFSTED and awarding body standards by engaging with quality management systems.
  • Learner Support: Provide guidance and pastoral care to learners, supporting them with both academic and personal development.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance the quality of teaching and learner experience, while staying updated on industry trends and developments.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Teaching Qualification: Hold a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
  • Health and Social Care Qualification: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field.
  • Assessing Qualification: Hold or be working towards an assessing qualification (e.g., CAVA, TAQA, or equivalent).
  • Industry Experience: Relevant experience in the Health and Social Care sector, ideally in a hands-on care or supervisory role.
  • OFSTED Knowledge: Familiarity with OFSTED standards and expectations for quality education delivery.
  • Vocational Training: Experience in delivering vocational qualifications and employability training (e.g., CV writing, interview skills).

Additional Requirements:

  • Driving Licence: Full driving licence and access to a car during working hours.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel to various locations and deliver face-to-face teaching as needed.
