As a Managing Director of Apprenticeships, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission to provide top-notch apprenticeship programs that meet the evolving needs of employers and learners alike.

Your Role:

As the Managing Director of Apprenticeships, you will spearhead the strategic development and delivery of apprenticeship provision within the group. Reporting directly to the board, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of apprenticeship delivery, from program design to performance management. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving apprenticeship growth agenda and ensuring the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and monitor performance across apprenticeship delivery, setting and achieving targets to drive positive outcomes.

Design delivery models that prioritize quality and viability, meeting the needs of both employers and learners.

Provide strategic leadership across the group, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver cohesive services.

Manage operational aspects and budgeting for all training delivery, ensuring financial efficiency and effectiveness.

Foster strong relationships with employers and industry partners to promote our apprenticeship offerings and identify new opportunities.

Lead the team in conducting quality assurance activities and implementing necessary changes for continuous improvement.

Drive business development initiatives, including responding to invitations to tender and securing new revenue streams.

Establish and maintain good working relationships with all personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork and communication.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Appropriate higher level qualification.
  • Recognized teaching qualification.
  • Recognized management qualification.
  • Substantial and successful experience in leading the development and delivery of apprenticeship provision.
  • Proven track record of achieving quality outcomes and building successful partnerships with employers.
  • Experience in budget management, sales, and marketing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems and their effective utilization.
  • A resilient operator with strong problem-solving abilities.
