Multi Trace Construction Tutor
Due to exciting new contract wins our client, a leading training provider, is seeking a qualified Tutor / Assessor for Construction (multi skilled trades) based in Romford to deliver effective and efficient training programmes that enables learners to progress towards and achieve identified milestones in a timely manner.
The role holder will be responsible for providing support for learners in line with their individual needs, provide appropriate IAG and refer for additional support to ensure that individual learners continue to progress towards their objectives. Classroom based, delivering training within groups and small cohorts.
Main duties:
- Responsible for helping students to understand their learning topics.
- Assess, assist and encourage the students in the learning processes.
- Review materials used in classes, explain various topics, and answers all the doubts and questions of the student regarding to that topic.
- Adapt lesson plans and schemes of work dependent on you learner needs and requirements.
- Create an engaging and motivational learning environment.
- Be able to differentiate your course content to allow students with different learner styles to engage fully.
- Maintain learner’s individual files and tracking documents/registers ensuring assessments are completed to the required standards.
- Maintain accurate learner records and ensure all portfolios meet the relevant quality and standard.
- Managing learner behaviour in the classroom and on company premises.
- Conduct assessment needs of learners.
- Provide appropriate information, advice, teaching and learning relevant to the individual
- Plan, manage & organise a caseload of learner portfolios
Requirements
- Must have experience in delivering the Edexcel accredited Level 1 Certificate in Construction Skills and Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment Qualifications, in order to fully prepare learners to achieve the CITB test and obtain their CSCS Green Card.
- Experience in delivering Level 2 in Bricklaying, Tiling, Carpentry, Painting and Decorating
- Have experience working in a classroom on with small groups.
- Hold a teaching qualification (minimum PTTLS or equivalent)
