About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to join a passionate team dedicated to empowering youth through innovative sports programs. In this role, you will play a key part in implementing, managing, and strategically developing initiatives across Merseyside and its surrounding areas.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the operations team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and values.
  • Contribute to enhancing program effectiveness by improving systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks in collaboration with senior management.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and support to team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts in the local area, working in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Drive sustainability and growth by securing funding, developing partnerships, and winning contracts.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to effectively plan and manage budgets.
  • Lead regional fundraising events and oversee local marketing and communications activities.
  • Set and monitor operational targets, ensuring quality assurance and program effectiveness.
  • Generate reports and provide regular updates on operational progress to senior management.
  • Actively participate in organizational functions such as strategic planning and fundraising.

What You Bring:

  • A deep understanding of the challenges facing young people and relevant government policies.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing teams in a similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and initiative in finding solutions.
  • Effective time management and project management skills.
  • Experience in budget management and fundraising for operational activities.
  • Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young people through sports.
