Purpose of the Role
-
Drive sales revenue across apprenticeships, commercial training, and other funding streams.
-
Focus on building relationships with large, levy-paying employers.
-
Use a consultative approach to identify client needs and create bespoke training solutions.
-
Support business growth through new client acquisition and account management.
-
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to company strategy.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
-
Identify and pursue procurement, partnership, and subcontracting opportunities.
-
Develop sustainable relationships with large employers.
-
Conduct Training Needs Analyses (TNA) and create tailored proposals.
-
Promote apprenticeship matching and explore commercial/loan-funded training opportunities.
-
Collaborate with marketing and operations to adapt programmes and campaigns.
Account Management
-
Manage client accounts proactively to maintain satisfaction and maximise new starts.

Conduct formal account reviews and adjust training offers as needed.
-
Celebrate client successes and gather case studies and testimonials.
Quality and Compliance
-
Provide effective information, advice, and guidance to clients.
-
Ensure high-quality learner referrals with strong retention and achievement rates.

Stay updated on funding rules and manage data and compliance requirements.

Support safeguarding, employer health and safety checks, and DAS management.
Essential Skills and Experience
-
Proven experience in consultative sales, business development, and account management in the skills/apprenticeships sector.
- Experience selling Childcare and Health care apprenticeships
-
Strong communication, proposal writing, and relationship management skills.
-
Ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
-
Basic knowledge of DfE/ESFA funding rules.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
-
Driving licence and access to a car (business use insured).
Desirable
-
Project management, bid writing, and marketing experience.
-
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
