Role Overview:

As a Sociology Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education across our Sociology programmes up to A Level. You will be responsible for engaging and inspiring students aged 16-19, helping them to excel in their studies and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Sociology programmes up to A Level.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Sociology department.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Sociology or a related subject.
  • Teaching experience in Sociology up to Level 3, including A Level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate young people aged 16-19.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development. If you do not already possess a teaching qualification, the College will support you in obtaining a Level 5 teaching qualification.
