A leading apprenticeship and commercial training provider is looking for a highly motivated and autonomous Strategic Sales Manager to drive new business growth. This newly created position will focus on securing partnerships with large, levy-paying organisations across professional services, IT, and manufacturing. The role requires a consultative sales approach, with a strong emphasis on generating leads, nurturing relationships, and closing deals.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within large, levy-paying organisations.

• Engage with potential clients to understand their training needs and offer tailored apprenticeship and commercial training solutions.

• Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing, ensuring a professional and seamless client experience.

• Achieve and exceed sales targets, aiming for 15+ apprenticeship starts per month.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments to inform sales strategies.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and programme delivery, to ensure client needs are met effectively.

Experience and skills required

• Proven experience in a sales role, ideally within apprenticeships, training, or related professional services industries.

• Strong understanding of apprenticeship programmes, levy systems, and the training landscape.

• A consultative sales approach, with the ability to build long-term client relationships.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently to generate and close new business.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• A track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
