About the Role

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the performance, quality, and growth of national apprenticeship delivery. You’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams, build strategic partnerships with employers, and ensure a consistently high-quality experience for learners.

Ideal for someone who thrives on innovation and collaboration, the role offers the chance to influence future workforce development across high-impact sectors and align provision with national skills needs and employer demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of apprenticeship operations across regions and sectors.

• Design and deliver a commercially viable, responsive apprenticeship offer.

• Build strong employer relationships to co-create meaningful, high-impact programmes.

• Lead and develop teams of programme managers and tutors across the UK.

• Ensure compliance with funding rules, quality frameworks, safeguarding and audits.

• Use data and insights to drive performance, quality improvement and growth.

• Oversee administration processes and contribute to strategic sales planning.

• Connect apprenticeship delivery with broader learning initiatives such as Skills Bootcamps and adult learning.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an ambitious and experienced leader who combines strong operational knowledge with a strategic mindset. Key attributes include:

• Demonstrable experience in apprenticeship management and leadership roles.

• Strong understanding of employer engagement and co-design in work-based learning.

• Knowledge of compliance, funding, and performance management in the skills sector.

• Confident leadership of geographically dispersed or matrix-managed teams.

• Financially literate, performance-driven, and data-informed.

• Excellent communicator, collaborator and people developer.

• Passionate about delivering impact for learners and employers.

Sector experience in justice, healthcare, or STEM would be advantageous but is not essential.
