Our client is seeking a Teaching Assistant Tutor to support learners in achieving their qualifications and reaching their career goals.
As the first point of contact for learners, you will provide guidance, encouragement, and motivation throughout their learning journey. You will play a key role in helping learners build confidence, overcome barriers, and successfully complete their programmes.
Whilst no two days will be the same, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering educational qualifications in learning hubs, community venues, or online, ensuring sessions are accessible and tailored to learner needs.
- Managing a caseload of learners, identifying and addressing barriers to achievement while supporting them through their learning journey.
- Working closely with learner recruitment and quality teams to ensure best practice, curriculum improvements, and strong learner outcomes.
- Managing post-enrolment administration, ensuring compliance, accurate documentation, and timely submission of required paperwork.
- Monitoring attendance and learner engagement, carrying out assessments, providing feedback, marking work, and invigilating exams where required.
- Maintaining professional competency through continuous professional development (CPD) and embedding Safeguarding and British Values within learning delivery.
- Representing our client professionally at events and when engaging with learners, employers, and referral partners such as Jobcentre Plus.
This position may also be offered on a Term-Time Only basis, which would involve 41 working weeks per year, with a pro-rata salary of £22,076 per annum.
Salary
- Trainee Tutor (no teaching or assessing qualifications): £25,000
- Tutor with either a teaching or assessing qualification: £26,500
- Tutor with both teaching and assessing qualifications: £28,000
