Curriculum and Performance Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a passionate and driven Curriculum & Performance Manager to lead and shape the delivery of high-quality technical and trades programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the full learner journey  from curriculum design through to achievement and progression while leading a team of Learning Coaches to deliver exceptional outcomes.

You’ll play a key role in driving innovation, improving quality, and ensuring learners receive an outstanding experience that supports them into meaningful, sustained careers.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Learning Coaches to deliver outstanding provision
  • Manage caseloads and ensure effective learner-to-staff ratios
  • Conduct regular performance reviews focused on learner experience and quality outcomes
  • Foster a high-performance, supportive team culture

Curriculum & Quality

  • Design, develop and continuously improve an innovative, engaging curriculum
  • Ensure schemes of work and learning resources are high quality and regularly reviewed
  • Drive consistent delivery through standardisation meetings and sharing best practice
  • Monitor quality through regular work scrutiny, ensuring excellent teaching, learning and assessment

Learner Journey & Experience

  • Oversee high-quality CIAG, initial assessment and onboarding processes
  • Monitor learner progress, retention and achievement, taking proactive action where needed
  • Ensure learners are on the right programme and fully supported to succeed
  • Embed English, maths and digital skills throughout delivery
  • Support learners with additional needs to achieve positive outcomes

Operations & Delivery

  • Plan and timetable off-the-job training and classroom delivery
  • Coordinate assessments, exams and End Point Assessments (EPA)
  • Ensure delivery aligns with awarding body and compliance requirements
  • Embed safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and EDI into all aspects of delivery

Quality Improvement & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
  • Present performance and quality updates to senior leadership
  • Work closely with awarding organisations and support external quality assurance visits
  • Develop clear learner progression pathways into positive destinations

About You

Essential:

  • Experience designing and delivering high-quality learning programmes
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a fast-paced workload
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel and work flexibly when required

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE)
  • Assessor qualification
  • Experience in technical/trades or vocational delivery
  • Knowledge of education inspection frameworks and quality assurance processes
  • Experience delivering across multiple sites or nationally

Qualifications:

  • Leadership/Management qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Maths and English at Level 2 (or willingness to achieve)
