Coyne Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading, innovative apprenticeship provider to recruit an exceptional Head of Apprenticeships operations.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced apprenticeship leader looking to take ownership of a high-performing provision and help shape the next phase of organisational growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across apprenticeship delivery, ensuring outstanding learner outcomes, employer satisfaction, quality, compliance and commercial performance.

This is far more than an operational role. You’ll sit at the heart of the organisation, influencing strategy, leading experienced managers and driving continuous improvement across quality, curriculum, compliance, client experience and delivery.

The Opportunity

As Head of Apprenticeships, you’ll be responsible for creating a culture where performance, accountability and innovation go hand in hand.

Working with an experienced senior leadership team, you’ll oversee every aspect of apprenticeship delivery, ensuring programmes consistently exceed employer expectations whilst delivering exceptional learner outcomes.

This is an opportunity to influence business strategy, prepare the organisation for sector change and help shape one of the UK’s most respected apprenticeship providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across all apprenticeship delivery functions.
  • Lead and develop managers responsible for quality, curriculum, compliance, learner performance and client experience.
  • Drive outstanding learner achievement, retention and timely completion.
  • Champion continuous improvement across teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Lead Ofsted readiness, funding compliance and audit preparation.
  • Use performance data and operational insight to drive decision making.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to develop future apprenticeship strategy.
  • Ensure programmes remain commercially successful whilst maintaining exceptional quality.
  • Develop strong relationships with employers and key stakeholders.

About You

We’re looking for an inspirational apprenticeship leader who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence.

You’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant senior leadership experience within apprenticeship delivery.
  • A strong understanding of ESFA funding, compliance, quality assurance and Ofsted.
  • Experience leading multiple operational functions including curriculum, quality and learner performance.
  • A proven track record of improving learner outcomes, achievement rates and operational performance.
  • Strong commercial awareness alongside an unwavering commitment to quality.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confidence working with executive teams, employers and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to lead through change whilst inspiring high-performing teams.
