As a Regional Employment Advisor professional (Into Work Advisor), your main focus will be building employer relationships, identifying vacancies and work placements, and matching learners to suitable opportunities.
You’ll work with employers to understand their requirements and coordinate placements, while supporting learners to overcome barriers and progress into sustained employment.
A full driving licence and access to a car are essential, as regional travel between different sites, employer premises and partner venues is required.
What you’ll be doing
In this Regional Employment Advisor role (Into Work Advisor), your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging employers to identify job vacancies and work placement opportunities.
- Building and maintaining relationships with employers and partner organisations.
- Understanding employer requirements and matching suitable learners to opportunities.
- Considering learners’ skills, circumstances and travel requirements when matching them to vacancies.
- Planning and coordinating placements in line with employer expectations.
- Providing practical coaching and encouragement to help learners overcome barriers to work.
- Supporting employers and learners throughout placements to encourage successful outcomes.
- Working with colleagues to help learners progress into sustained employment.
- Travelling across the region to visit employers, learners and different delivery sites.
What we’re looking for
For this Regional Employment Advisor position (Into Work Advisor), you’ll need:
- Experience supporting job seekers or learners into employment.
- Strong relationship-building skills and confidence engaging with employers.
- The ability to match people to suitable vacancies and placements.
- Good coaching, planning and organisational skills.
- A proactive, reliable approach and a commitment to achieving employment outcomes.
- A full driving licence and access to a car for regional travel.
Knowledge of government employment programmes, DWP initiatives and local labour markets would be beneficial.
