About the Role
We’re working with an ambitious, values-driven training provider who are on a mission to make a real impact across the UK skills sector.
As an Account Executive – Local Government, you’ll play a key role in driving apprenticeship growth by developing strong relationships with existing Local Government clients while unlocking new opportunities within those accounts.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on building partnerships, spotting opportunities, and delivering real value to clients — all while contributing to meaningful skills development across the public sector.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and growing a portfolio of Local Government clients, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction
- Working closely with the Partnerships Manager to develop and execute account strategies
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities within existing accounts
- Cross-selling a range of apprenticeship programmes to meet client needs
- Achieving sales targets (circa £450k in year one)
- Maintaining a strong and accurate pipeline through CRM systems
- Collaborating with delivery teams to ensure a seamless learner journey from onboarding to completion

- Strong apprenticeship start numbers and sales performance
- Consistent, high-quality client engagement and meetings
- High levels of customer retention and satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in apprenticeship sales or B2B sales within the Local Government space
- A natural relationship builder with strong communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and pipeline management
- Confident delivering professional, consultative client meetings
Desirable:
- Understanding of Local Government structures
- Knowledge of apprenticeship funding and compliance
- Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments
