Business Development Manager – IT & Digital Apprenticeships

The Role:

Join our clients innovative team in the field of Apprenticeships Digital & Tech and play a crucial role in shaping the future of workforce development. Your mission is to drive growth and excellence through your impeccable sales and partnership-building skills. As the primary point of contact for tech companies and employers, you’ll guide them towards a more skilled workforce through tailored apprenticeship solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve the company’s growth objectives
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand on existing partnerships to expand our clients reach and impact
  • Win new business- contracting with employers who are new to our client

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention- growing accounts organically
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored apprenticeship solutions that align with their business goals, including new programmes to our client’s portfolio

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and key stakeholder feedback
  • Use data-driven insights to drive decision-making and refine our client’s offerings and evolution of new products

Proposals:

  • Lead the development of compelling proposals and presentation pitches for potential new clients, showcasing the benefits of their apprenticeship programs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create solutions that meet the specific needs of clients (Bootcamps / commercial offerings)

Revenue Generation:

  • Set revenue targets and work towards achieving them through effective business development strategies and relationship building
  • Monitor and track performance metrics, providing regular reports to the Business Development Director (using CRM)

Candidate Requirements 

Essential Skills:

  • Adds tangible value to business – proven growth of customer base and relationship building
  • Credibility in delivery of sales training
  • Leads on initiatives and operates without instruction
  • Delivery of client growth plans & ownership of key contacts and key accounts
  • Excellent Inter-personal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with lots of different types of clients in a professional manner
  • Desire to learn and execute detailed operational plans
  • Diplomatic and Intelligent communicator
  • Proven track record in a senior influencer position
