This is an exciting opportunity to deliver short, impactful courses to unemployed adults across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, helping learners build the digital skills, confidence and employability skills they need to move towards work.

You’ll deliver and assess a range of Level 1 programmes, with a particular focus on digital skills and supporting learners who may face barriers to employment.

The Role

You will:

• Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching using a range of learning strategies and digital technologies.
• Assess individual learner needs and set appropriate targets and development plans.
• Support learners to achieve qualifications and progress into employment, apprenticeships or further learning.
• Provide academic, pastoral and motivational support, helping learners build confidence and raise their aspirations.
• Maintain accurate learner records, including enrolment, initial assessments and attendance.
• Identify and support additional learning needs and ensure appropriate support is in place.
• Deliver programmes flexibly across different locations and learning formats.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and improve teaching, learning and assessment standards.
• Carry out assessments, maintain learner portfolios and liaise with internal and external quality assurance teams and awarding organisations.

About You

We’re looking for a passionate, learner-focused educator who can create a positive, inclusive and motivating learning environment.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience as a teacher, lecturer or trainer, or relevant industry experience.
• A recognised assessing qualification such as TAQA, A1 or equivalent.
• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English at grades A*-C / 9-4.
• Strong digital skills and the ability to use technology effectively to enhance learning.
• The ability to motivate, coach and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds.
• A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and learner wellbeing.
• A reflective approach to teaching and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• The ability to provide effective assessment, feedback, information, advice and guidance.
• An understanding of safeguarding, health and safety and professional responsibilities.
