The organisation partners with employers across the UK to design and deliver impactful apprenticeship programmes that develop confident, job-ready professionals. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Specialist Apprenticeship Coach to deliver the Business Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard.

⚠️ Important: This role is specifically for professionals with apprenticeship delivery experience. It is not suitable for Business Analysts without experience coaching or assessing funded apprenticeships.


The Role

As a Specialist Apprenticeship Coach, you’ll play a key role in guiding apprentices through their full learning journey — from induction through to successful End-Point Assessment (EPA).

You’ll deliver high-quality coaching and assessment aligned to the Business Analyst Level 4 standard, ensuring learners progress on time, funding rules are met, and high-quality outcomes are achieved for apprentices and employers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured apprenticeship inductions, clearly setting expectations, compliance and programme requirements

  • Conduct initial, diagnostic and ongoing assessments to identify learner needs and plan targeted support

  • Coach apprentices against the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) of the Level 4 Business Analyst standard

  • Set, review and evidence SMART targets, maintaining accurate learner records on the e-portfolio system

  • Lead formal progress reviews with apprentices and employers in line with ESFA funding rules and contractual requirements

  • Provide stretching feedback and coaching to drive progress and EPA readiness

  • Monitor and support completion of Functional Skills within required timelines

  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted EIF, ESFA funding rules, safeguarding and Prevent requirements

  • Work closely with internal trainers and curriculum teams to ensure consistent learner outcomes

  • Plan and conduct remote learner visits, evidencing progress and impact

  • Support apprentices into sustained employment and positive destinations

  • Act as a safeguarding advocate, recognising, responding to and reporting concerns in line with organisational policy and statutory guidance


Essential Experience & Skills

To be considered, candidates must have:

  • Proven experience delivering, coaching or assessing apprentices on the Business Analyst Level 4 apprenticeship (or equivalent apprenticeship delivery experience)

  • Experience working within a regulated, funded apprenticeship environment

  • Strong knowledge of ESFA funding rules, Ofsted EIF, safeguarding and Prevent

  • Solid understanding of Business Analysis and/or Project Management frameworks

  • Experience preparing apprentices for End-Point Assessment (EPA)

  • Excellent coaching, mentoring and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to manage a caseload autonomously and work to planned end dates

  • Strong organisational and documentation skills, including experience with e-portfolio / learning platforms


Desirable

  • BCS Level 4 Business Analyst qualification (including oral exam experience)

  • Experience with PMQ / APM frameworks

  • Knowledge of the Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship

  • Assessor or IQA qualifications (CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32/33)

  • Experience using apprenticeship e-portfolio systems


Qualifications

  • Coaching, training, assessor or teaching qualification (preferred)

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths (or equivalent)

  • Business Analysis or Project Management professional credentials (desirable)

  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and learning platforms)
