Lead the people who make apprenticeships work.
My client, a leading independent apprenticeship provider, is seeking an exceptional Apprenticeship Performance Manager to lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team of delivery coaches and tutors.
This role is all about performance through people. You’ll ensure delivery coaches are fully equipped, highly motivated, and continuously developing — so they can confidently guide apprentices to timely, high-quality completion.
You’ll join a great value-led organisation with ambitious growth plans, where development, accountability and learner success sit at the heart of everything.
The Role
As Apprenticeship Performance Manager, you’ll be accountable for the end-to-end performance of apprenticeship delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, to a high standard, and in line with business goals.
You will lead a team that turns ambition into reality — creating a culture that is data-driven, people-focused and performance-led, while remaining supportive and values-based.

- Line manage a team of delivery coaches, supporting their professional growth and progression
- Ensure coaches have the tools, training, confidence and motivation to progress their learners effectively
- Design and deliver training that enhances coaching impact and learner outcomes
- Encourage reflective practice and continuous professional development
Performance & Quality
- Drive performance through regular monitoring, feedback, reviews and supportive intervention
- Use data intelligently to identify risks, trends and opportunities for improvement
- Act as escalation point for complex apprentice or employer issues
- Ensure tutors deliver engaging, compliant and high-quality knowledge sessions
Learner Journey & Outcomes
- Oversee learner progress from onboarding to completion, including gateways, breaks in learning and planned end dates
- Ensure milestones are met and followed up promptly when they are not
- Oversee weekly data sets in line with compliance, funding and quality benchmarks
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Quality, Business Support and wider stakeholders to deliver a seamless learner experience
- Support the Head of Apprenticeship Delivery in driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Plan and support onboarding and induction of new colleagues
About You
You are a confident, people-first leader who understands that great learner outcomes start with great coaches.
You will bring:
- Proven leadership experience within apprenticeship delivery or vocational education
- Strong people management, coaching and performance management skills
- High levels of data literacy and commercial awareness
- In-depth knowledge of apprenticeship standards, funding rules, Ofsted frameworks and EPA requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
You are:
- Values-led, professional and trustworthy
- Comfortable working autonomously while managing your own area
- Flexible, resilient and solutions-focused
- Passionate about learner success and progression
Why Join?
